On Monday 1st November in a partially refurbished clubhouse and in the presence of Sheila his wife and a few members of the Management Committee and their partners, Peter Gentry deservedly received an honorary life membership of our club.

It has not gone unnoticed by just about everyone in the club, the tremendous effort you have maintained throughout this difficult Covid ridden summer, in almost single handedly maintaining our green to the very high standards that members have come to expect each year. Visiting, inspecting and working on the green day in and day out this summer has demonstrated an exceptional contribution from you on behalf of our club
The Management Committee, supported by club members, wish to thank you for ensuring the green has been available for play this season as and when government regulations have allowed. As a gesture of everyone’s thanks we would like to present you with a very well-deserved honorary life membership of Lee-on-the-Solent Bowling Club.
Well done Peter, you are a truly valued member of our club.
